Principle of SNP Genotyping
Our platform applies competitive allele-specific PCR, a fluorescence-based technology for high-throughput genotyping.
Two allele-specific forward primers (tagged with different fluorophores) and one common reverse primer are used in PCR amplification.
Fluorescence detection (via real-time qPCR instruments) identifies genotype clusters: AA, AB, or BB.
This probe-free method is highly scalable, cost-effective, and suitable for medium-to-large genotyping projects.
